Deadpool 2 box office prediction: Despite being ‘A’ rated, Ryan Reynolds film to open around Rs 7 crore on its first day

After Avengers: Infinity War, it’s now Ryan Reynold starrer Deadpool 2 set to take the box office by a storm. Looking at the humongous response for the film in India, the makers have started the advance booking on Sunday and received a fantastic response there. Despite being ‘A’ rated, the anti-hero film is expected to open very well at the box office by raking in around Rs 7 crore on its first day.

Talking about Deadpool 2, our trade expert Akshaye Rathi said, “The advance booking is fantastic, it’s a franchise that has become extremely popular with its first edition. Because of the popularity and the goodwill of the first part, it is expected to open well right from day 1. Even the Hindi edition, owing to the brand value Ranveer Singh has brought to it, is expected to do exceptionally well. The opening day figures should be in the range of Rs 6-7 crore at least. He also said that despite being an adult film, it’ll do well as there are huge amount of adults and Deadpool fans who will come to the cinema halls to watch this quirky anti-hero. Akshaye also said that if an ‘A’ rated film like Grand Masti can make Rs 100 crore at the box office, Deadpool 2 also has the potential to perform well at the ticket windows. When asked whether the existence of Avengers: Infinity War will affect Deadpool 2’s collections, he said, “Everybody who wanted to watch Avengers has watched it and it has done what it was supposed to do at the box office. So the existence of Avengers will not do anything to Deadpool 2, and both the films can co-exist very smoothly at the ticket windows.”

So by looking at response, we are surely expecting Deadpool 2 to rule the box office this week? Do you agree with us? Share your thoughts in the comments section below…
